Who should the Main Character in my story end up with?
I know 13's a young age,but I'm writing a story, and I want your opinion on who the main character, Juliet (Cliche, I know..) should end up with. Here are the 3 options:
1. Justin - Brother to Harper, Ralph's (Juliet's brother) girlfriend. In the grade above hers, and goes to another school. They've known each other since their siblings started dating (About a year or 2), and They hang out a lot. Justin's kinda shy, funny, sweet, but awkward.
2. Kyle - Juliet's new friend, he becomes friends with her through a valentines day top - secret school project, and at the end of the multiplication dance, he kisses her, surprising everyone. Kyle is funny, sarcastic, flirty, very guy -like, weird, and has one thing especially in common with Juliet: He lives with his older sister (Juliet lives with her older brother). His bad point: He can get carried away with his jokes and take them too far sometimes.
3. Nicholas - Juliet's best guy friend. He's known her since like 5th grade (They're in 10th grade), and he treats her like a sister, with a bit of flirting. He kisses Juliet in the park (The sunday after the dance), and thats when she finds herself between 3 of her best friends (Other than Haley, her best friend who's a girl). Nick is funny, sweet, jokey, flirty, brotherly, and slightly overprotective and obnoxious. (Not that the other 2 aren't..) He helped her get over her ex boyfriend, and they're really close.
Thanks for the help!

Well, at a glance, you wrote more about #3 than the two others, and none of it was really "bad" (ie, you didn't list a "his bad point"). So it seems to me that you kind of favor him.
Of course, there's always the idea that she doesn't have to end up with any of them. Can always choose to go her own way. :)
13 is a fine age for writing. Write write write. More you write, better you get.
You might take a look at some of the "tropes" at TVTropes.com, at least to see how other people have dealt with writing relationships in fiction, and what themes or commonalities they can have.
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/FirstGi... - this can be a good "starting point" to check out some of the more romantically-inclined themes. If you read through, the entry also points you at the Unlucky Childhood Friend (ie, the guy who's waited for her forever, but gets upstaged by some new guy in her life) and the Victorious Childhood Friend (vice versa). Even though these articles usually play it as a male lead deciding between women, you can easily reverse the genders. :)

Age is nothing when it comes to passion. :)
I would like Juliet to end up with Justin.
Purely because its an interesting angle that hasn't been done too often.
I could see you really using this to your advantage in your story. It'll give the reader a very nice surprise.
I find the best guy friend relationship too frequent. There is no complexity for the reader. Its too basic, and too predictable. I wouldn't like Juliet to end up with Nicholas.
Kyle is fine - but he is the new friend. I'd prefer to have Juliet fall for an old friend, not a new one. It would be like cheating the other two characters from the book. He is more a good obstacle for the rest of the boys.
These are just my opinions. Its ultimately your story.
Good luck.

awww, luv your theme and story plot. when ur done u mind emailing me it??? Well, for the answer, I love all the characters. I know you probably like all of them too (obviously why you're asking it here) but for me, there's always a character I like a teensy bit better. I really like Kyle or Nick-they're both pretty nice. But u know, Nick seems more dependable and close to Juliet. Ooh, maybe as a scene, you can have one of the guys catch her be with the guy you end up choosing to be for Juliet and there's like a mix-up. u know, like a catch or something. well check out my story question!!

I think that you should exclude justin because I think it would be too strange with their siblings dating and everything. Nicholas and her have more history so I'm more inclined to pick him. I'
t's up to you. I'd love to read your story when you're done with it- it sounds good. Good luck.
