Why are people either too cheap or just silly by ignoring a car's condition.?

My guess would be lack of a appreciation for their vehicle, and how important they are.

Hi, I am assuming your age is 64 and with being 64 you have acquired a great deal of knowledge through the years so without testing or challenging your knowledge I will let you answer your own question.

So listed below are "Think About It" answers so you can answer your own question.

1. "Think About It" ! People for many years have ignored a simple thing such as preventative maintenance on a vehicle which can save them allot of money,time and safety but ignores it primarily because they procrastinate !

Procrastination is one of humans biggest flaws and usually what cause's procrastination is a person starts thinking that if they wait longer to do something or to buy something that waiting longer would give a better value to it .

2. "Think About It" ! Lets say for example if your brakes on your car is grinding down to medal and in your mind you know you have to replace them because it is unsafe but in that other corner of your mind which is Mr. Procrastination says "Hey if I wait a little longer I can get more out of my current brakes and save those mile on the new brakes " This is also called "Save-N-Wait" Procrastination which is the most serious procrastination humans have because you are not only jeopardizing there safety but the safety of others.

3. "Think About It" All humans have Procrastinated in one form or another either it being buying something at a grocery store or repairs in there home or repairing there car and with you being human if you think back I am sure you have procrastinated something in your life time .

Now as for as people whining like a baby as you say when the thing finally breaks down , This is not whining it is cry for sympathy from you because they feel your judgment is important to them and by you saying for example "I am sorry to hear that" will in there mind relieve there frustration so feel honored that people rely on your judgment or comments because that means you must be a leader and most of all don't take it as whining !

Some people will wait to see if the can go for a long period, or wait to see who has the lowest service price. They don't realize by taking precautions to fix one problem will keep it from snowballing into something really major. Then you're really asking for it!

i buy cheap vehicles, say 2-3 hundred and drive them till they quit. then they go to salvage, where i get what i paid for them don't whine though cause there is always another 2-3 hundred dollar car waiting to be bought.

i know what your saying. i,am a old man of 61 and i saw stuff like that. i mean think about it for a second. a car is nothing but machinery and stuff do wear out and i heard people say when their car won,t start, damn piece of junk then kick it just like it,s the cars fault. they are either stupid or have lots of money for another car.

your just being nice, theses are just plain retarded people. they need to learn to deal with they have or sell the junk on get another one. wheels are wheels no matter what kind of noises it makes
