Mercury orbits Sol every 88 earth days, with three rotations per two orbits. The day is 58 earth days long. Its diameter of 4880 km means the terminator line between night and day moves across the equator at 11 kilometers per hour, so if you built your house on wheels and rolled along at 11 kph you could maintain a nice location. There is water ice in the craters at the north pole, so we can see that it gets really cold in the shadows, but since it has no magnetic field to deflect cosmic rays, you would be dead from radiation so quickly you'd have no time to worry about the heat, the cold or the lack of sunscreen.

I don't really understand your question. But, although the closest, mercury is not the hottest planet. Venus is. venus is the hottest planet because of its thick atmosphere. like the green house gas effect here on earth, but a LOT hotter. the gases in the venusian atmosphere trap a lot of sunlight, heating up the surface.
