why is will turner's hart cut out?
In the last movie of Pirates of the Caribbean, at worlds end we get to know that Davy Jones cut out his heart because of his love pain. At the end Davy Jones dies because his hart gets pierced by Will Turner.
But Will Turner also had to die because his hart was pierced as well. Just like Davy Jones, only difference was that he still wasn't captain and Davy Jones was. So I thought that was odd. I believe Will Turner should've died because his heart was pierced too.
But why did they have to cut out his (will turner's heart) out? I thought Davy Jones did it because of love pain? Or am I wrong? Does the hart of the captain of the flying dutch man need to be cut out? So why did they cut his heart out? His heart was already pierced.

whoever killed davy jones had to replace him and cut out there to become the captain of the ship so they had will kill him becasue he was dying anyway from being stabbed jack sparrow wanted to be captain of the ship becasue he would get to live forever but then he helped will stab the heart so he wouldnt die and could contiue living as captain of the ship so after he killed davy jones they had to cut out his heart so he would be the new captain of the ship and he could be with elzibeth every how many years he could go ashore instead of truley dying

Wow, that's a lot of books! My personal favorites, out of all the ones you listed, are Looking For Alaska, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, and maybe To Kill a Mockingbird. (The third is really good, but I'm madly in love with the other two.) Have fun!
