Hey liberals, WHY is it so wrong for someone in business to make a profit?

It doesn't matter if it's a small business owner, or a big corporation, our president said there's a time for making profits, but now is not that time.

Why would someone be in business if they are not going to make a profit.

Currently I work in construction, and deliver ready mix concrete to contractors, so I'll use it as an example, say I was in concrete construction working for someone else, and I wanted to start my own concrete construction business, what would be the point of me even going into business, if there are people out against me to make a profit. Isn't that the point of going into business so you can make a profit? No matter HOW big your business is?

Profits = success. Liberals are unsuccessful losers who hate successful people. Therefore, liberals hate profits.

It seems like you're leaping to a pretty big conclusion here.

Your president said now is not the time for profits, but that there will be a time for that. Whatever is going on in your company is probably aimed at something else that will ultimately result in making BETTER profit- ie. establishing business ties to other companies, establishing a customer base, etc.

Unless you work for a non-profit organization in which case you're an idiot for asking.

No is against you making a profit. Everyone loves money. What liberals are against is people making a profit at the expense of others or the environment. Everyone has the right to work for money, but no one has the right to lessen the quality of life of someone else to do it.

I have no problem when someone makes a profit in whatever business adventure they find suitable. I do however take issue when that profit results at the expense of someone else instead of their own intuition.

Right=hard worker starting concrete construction business and earning a great living

Wrong=huge companies manipulating the laws to screw their employees, the environment, the customers, and get out of paying taxes.

    Get it?

Hey Fiscal conservatives, why is it wrong for Americans to buy cheap drugs from Mexico and Canada = safe a little money

Why is it wrong to purchase cigarettes from different States?

Why must an engineer hold 50 licenses in order to practice all over the country?

The President said nothing remotely close to that. Even if he did, nothing he says can stop you from making a buck on your smelly wet sandy lime.

nothing wrong as long as there's no fraud, embezzlement, thievery, or money laundering

It's fine for them to make a "profit" as long as they go on to share it evenly amongst everyone... thus causing no incentive for anyone to do anything... this has been Liberal economic philosophy brought to you, by me.

  • You don't know WTF you're talking about. Profits are fine.
