Can I use my Dell reinstalling CDs on my Sony Vaio laptop?
I am still looking for the Sony discs but so far little to no luck. Any help will be appreciated.

Most likely not. This is because most computer companies protect their reinstalling discs from being used on other computers or more than two different computers. They do this because of the huge software pirating networks that exist. The reinstalling disc will be able to recognize the different computer, so it will block its own installation use and provide you with some sort of error, or it may just come out and say that you cannot use it on that computer.
Basically, because other people like to involve themselves in criminal activity, the entire world gets punished for it; just like how one student may act up and the entire class gets punished.
I hope this helps!

No. If you try to, the computer will inform you that your using the discs on an incorrect computer. Perhaps you can download the program and burn it to disc.

Not likely. Most Dell cd's detect what system they are being used on and if it is not a Dell branded system it will not work.
