Do you remember what you were doing when 9-11 happened?

Watching the TODAY show...shouted to my husband in the shower when the second plane hit...got my homeschooled son out of his room to watch the news, once I realized we were under attack.

My best friend came over that afternoon to have coffee and watch the news coverage. I was grateful for the company. Many phone calls to family out of state...and friends who worked in the Pentagon. (who were OK, Thank God)

Have visited all 3 sites. Saw the Pentagon still smoking... Met a lady who lost her son on the Shanksville flight, in Shanksville, on the first Anniversary...

Never forget...

I was checking in a food delivery when a customer told me that a plane had just flown into the Twin Towers. I was covering discrimination and harassment in an employee orientation when I heard that a total of 4 planes had been hijacked with two flying into and leveling the Twin Towers, one flying into the Pentagon, and the final one crashing in Pennsylvania field.

My initial reaction was that the attacks were similar to the Oklahoma City Federal Courthouse bombing almost a decade before. I doubt that I am the only one who thought it was a homegrown terrorist attack and never dreamed it was a terrorist conspiracy which would lead us to the road we are now on.

Had just gone to bed after dropping children off to school. I work nights while wife works days.

She called me and told me to turn the tv on and see what had happened.

I was worried because I knew a few people that worked right in that area. Took four days before I knew that they were alright.

Had to go to work early that day because I work security and they wanted to make sure that the stuff that they had could not be taken.

God bless all who serve and who have served for this nation! Plus the families as well.

I was driving across a Colorado mountain pass and heard the first report on the radio when it was thought to be an accident. I had a meeting with the County Commissioners and learned about the attacks during that meeting. The meeting was recessed to watch the reports. I watched with the staff and commissioners and was there most of the day.

I was waiting to go to the Doctor----watching the news of the 1st crash, when the 2nd tower burst into flames----all were confused and a sad day for many families.

God Bless our troops. Lets remember Memorial Day.

I was at the office and the break-room has a TV and the entire office crew was in the break-room glued to the tube.... First thing when the south tower "collapsed" I knew that the whole scene was a set-up.

My mom and dad did not finally end up picking me up early, so i did not locate out each little thing till that afternoon as quickly as I have been given domicile.
