1. Make sure everything's hooked up correctly. Microphone and headphone jacks look the same. make sure you didn't mix them up.
2. In ventrillo there is sometimes a hotkey assigned to allowing you to talk. it is usually one of the control keys.
3. Make sure your sound settings on your computer are adjusted appropriately. If you are using windows, there should be a sound Icon by your clock that you can select. Under the menu of this sound gauge, there is also a microphone option, make sure all of this is turned up.
4. if all else fails, contact ventrillo support about your problem.
