Capello's only mistake: Adam Johnson?
Looking at the English squad today, I think Capello should have taken Adam Johnson. England has got to have a plan C and this guy is it? AS for Walcott, did not deserve a place

I agree with you on both accounts. When playing at international level, you need something a little bit different and that's what Adam Johnson gives us; trickery, pace and a natural ability. He is a natural left winger, which would have given us some balance. Theo Walcott is a one-dimensional player and doesn't use his pace effectively. He tends to run into dead ends. For me, I would start Adam Johnson left, Lennon right and Rooney up top on his own. That attack gives England an edge in the final third. 3 technically gifted players who can beat people.
I'd play a 4-3-3 or 4-5-1 which ever way you interpret it. This frees up Gerrard and Lampard in the middle by playing Barry in the holding role and would guarantee goals.

I agree, Johnson is an excellent prospect, other than Lennon, J.Cole and Rooney he is the only really creative player in the England squad. Walcott and SWP are only capable of beating players through pure pace, Johnson is a wonderful dribbler with excellent crossing ability, his footballing brain is far ahead of SWPs. The only reason for not including him would be his lack of international experience, but he is only 22 and i am confident he will become a key fixture in the first team after the WC.
I wouldn't say it was Capello's only mistake, Heskey is a useless lump that offers nothing Crouch couldn't. I would sooner see Carlton Cole given a chance to do the same role. I would also favour Dawson over Upson, and i'm not sure what Carrick has done to deserve inclusion, Capello should really have given Parker a chance to prove himself.
Regardless it's a decent squad which has as good a chance as any team, excluding Spain and Argentina.

Definitely a mistake. A big one! Being young and inexperienced are not valid reasons not to take him to South Africa. Aaron Lennon was only 19 when he played at the 2006 World Cup and what an excellent performance from him back then. Adam Johnson can also do the same. And he is the only natural left-footed winger in the team. Certainly he can help to open up play as an impact substitute when the going gets tough.
Walcott has been pretty average this season. His pace couldn't even let him get past the Japanese defenders.

Johnson is incredible for his age. I wouldnt of started him in any of the 3 groupstage games. But i still would of taken him

I don't understand why he would drop Walcott and choose Wright-Phillips. He hasn't played for Mancity, and has had a sh!t season. Carrick has been awful. Upson ahead of Dawson? More than one mistake i'm afraid.
