My friend is being impersonated by someone (we have no idea who). Could he get arrested?

Yeah. If he is harassing you guys in any way and the cops can track him, he could get arrested for stalking and harassment. Just keep the texts he sends you guys and file a police report.

It depends on how old the impersonator is with respect to what he or she is doing. For example, if the person is an adult who is trying to lure minors over the internet, that is definitely illegal. If the person is some random other teenager who is hopping on your facebook and messing with your friends, then no you can't do much about it.

Probably not. I don't think that counts as identity theft. If the impersonator is doing something illegal, that's a different story.

I'm no lawyer, but it seems like that would count as identity theft, which is punishable by law.
