Question regarding the USA's World Cup games versus Slovenia and Algeria?

Although I can certainly understand why US fans would focus primarily on their opening game against England, does anybody else feel that the American team would be making a big mistake to take victory for granted against Slovenia and Algeria? I feel those are certainly winnable games for the US team, but I think anyone expecting easy, lopsided wins against either of those opponents could be in for an unpleasant surprise. Any thoughts?

Because the entire World is represented in the World Cup (hence the name) good teams that could be there are not. Slovenia knocked Russia out. Can Russia beat a majority of the teams in this tournament? Sure. So can many other Euro teams that failed to make it. I don't discount Slovenia period. They are a Euro team and they made it in.

As for Algeria, every year since 1990 a team from the African continent has risen up and surprised everyone. Perhaps Algeria will be that team for this World Cup. But you can be certain an unexpected team from Africa will rise.
