Help, selling a car.?

Basically, I have a car to sell, my dad is the keeper but he has said if I find a buyer he will sign the paperwork and I can keep a money but I don't think he has paid the tax on it and is being fined but I have a buyer coming around tomorrow and I want to know, if I sell the car to them do the fines transfer to them as well or do they stay with my dad? I really need to know as I don't want to screw these people over, thanks on advance.

Update:

Yeah, he has the title to the car and all of the documentation, probably should've mentioned it, thanks.

The fines would stay with your dad.

But most importantly - does your dad have the title to the car? Unless he has the title document, he isn't really able to sell it himself.

your dad has the fines not the car.
