bc pills don't help to ovulated...maybe he wants to regulated your period?
I do have pcos and the doctor had me on bc for so long...it didn't solve the problem and just wasted so much time...
I'm now 37 and still TTC. We just failed our first IVF cycle.
If you are trying to have a baby I would check with a pcos clinic or fertility specialist...don't waste your time.

Hey girl, BC pills will help getting your periods, but will never help in ovulation. Because birthcontrol is for not having a baby, so ovulation will not happen.
If you are trying to conceive, talk to your doc to put you on tablet which induces period and then once you have your periods, she can give you tablets to induce ovulation and then put you on follicular study. She will know through a scan when exactly the egg is released and you can have sexual activity then to increASE the chances of pregnancy ( provided your partner semen count and mobility is intact). Good luck. :)

Ignore the "never" part in the other answer. If your doctor is trying to help you get pregnant, then give it a shot!
