Anyone ever look around for your child in a panic and then realize you were carrying them?
Companion question to the 'forgetting your child in the car' question.
Looking around wildly for the child I was carrying has actually happened to me about half a dozen times over the course of my 4 kids. Just wondering if I'm the only one! :)
Oh yes... it is definately the mild 'heart skips a quick beat' panic. I've never worked up to full blown panic before I realized where the kid was or had someone look all baffled at me and point to the kid in my arms.

I've never gotten quite to the panic stage before, but I have definitely started looking around for the child that was in my arms. I've even gotten to the point when I asked my older daughters where my son was and then realized that I was holding him. You wouldn't think I could forget I was carrying a 30-pound 2-year-old, but I guess that means I'm used to having him there. :-)
It's sorta like looking around for the sunglasses that are on your head. ;-)

Haha. Haven't done that one yet, but hopefully if it happens it won't give me a heart attack.
I have been driving down the road and suddenly start looking around for my keys... And been talking on my cell phone and suddenly started looking for my phone thinking I'd lost it. LOL.

lol. No but if I did I would seriously consider a nap. I've done that with my glasses though. Looked all over for them only to find they were on my face!

I've looked for one of the girls I nanny for only to have been pushing her in the stroller, that's when I know my nerves are shot. This behavior isn't too surprising for me, since I sometimes look for my phone when I'm on it and actually talking to someone...
