What is the average payout for undercard boxers?

Please provide a source if possible. Usually after an even is held, a list of payouts is soon released, stating the fighter pay for the whole card. Somthing like this would be an excellent source, if someone can find it. Perhaps one of the Mayweather or Pacman events.

Thanks

It all depends on the fighter and which undercard fight you are in. The pay scale usually goes up for fighters that are fighting closer to the main event. Actual dollar amounts will vary depending on the type of show you are fighting in. Is it a PPV event? Local event? Small Casino? Aired on television or not? ESPN fight card? HBO boxing after dark or championship boxing fight card? There are too many variables to give an exact amount. But, lets assume its a HBO Championship fight card. The very first fight will make less than $15-$20k. The fighters before the main event will make between $100k to $1m. Main event will make $1m - $3m. PPV fights normally pay out the fighters more. A local small event, the main event may be making only a couple of thousand $. I know its kind of a general answer, but I hope it gives you a general idea.

Source(s): Mayweather's first fight paid him around $5k and he was a silver medalist in the olympics. Kelly Pavlik fought on the undercard of a Jermain Taylor headlined fight as the last fight before the main event and was paid about $600k. Pavlik shared the story because he actually left the paycheck in his hotel room and drove home without it. They had to cancel & re-issue him a check.
