Turns out Gallaraga DID pitch a perfect game!!!!!?
I mean come on sure the umpire ruled him safe but we ALL know he was out. If you think about it he DID pitch a perfect game not only that but a 28 out perfect game. Im not trying to be sarcastic but don't you think MLB should be considering awardng gallaraga a 28 out perfect game?

The box score shows one hit for Cleveland. No perfect game...

A few problems with your question, but let's have a go at it. Pujols more likely than not is not sitting on the bench unless he's hurt. Also, I don't know why you'd have a leadoff hitter with such a paltry average. Let's forget about that for a minute: Why would you not want to pitch to Pujols? A perfect game is so rare that it's worth taking a shot at even if it were Babe Ruth or Ted Williams. And even if you pitch to the .083 hitter, there's no guarantee of getting him out. So, although it would only be in my dreams that I could pitch like that, I would pitch to Pujols.

Everyone in the country even Jim Joyce the umpire said he pitched a perfect game. It was the last out so why does the possible outcome matter? Bud Selig is the one who blew the call and he should award Gallaraga the perfect game.

There is no such thing as a 28 out perfect game. In 99.9% of the people's eyes, he did pitch a perfecto. However, it is the .1% of the public which pulls the puppet strings and decides that the call has not been reversed. And that innorant moron just happens to be Bud Scumbag Selig.

Yes, he did pitch a perfect game. The box score says otherwise, but we shouldn't take it as gospel.

actually he did not throw a perfect game at all. he threw a one hitter because the umpire called the guy safe, that means there is nothing else but his call. so why would you award something that didn't happen. it was almost a perfect game but he didn't get it so it never happened. even though it was a bad call, it was the call and thats the end of the story.

He did throw it, but the official scorecard shows a 1 in the Indians hit column. Selig isn't going to change it.

I have officially corrected the box score to indicate what really happened.
It is now an official PERFECT GAME!

The commissioner has the power to do that and he said no. Time to move on.
