am 34 weeks pregnant and baby is 5.8 pounds?
I went to the doctor today and she did an ultrasound. Said that baby is weighing close to 6 pounds and is big already. She has asked me to visit her every week so that she can monitor the weight of the baby. She also asked me to be mentally prepared for the c-section as well for future.
Doctor checked me internally as well and said that my cervix is tight and closed and the baby's head is not yet fixed.
Has anyone had a big baby around 34 weeks? did you end up have the baby naturally or thru c-section.
Thanks in advance for your experience and all d best:)

My son was 5.8 pounds born at 36 weeks. Although he was tiny and a little bit on the preemie side he was perfectly healthy and I got to take him home when I went home. I had a c-section too...I kinda knew it might happen, but in the back of my head I didn't want it to and didn't want to fully come to terms with it. I was more focused on delivering vaginally and when I had my c-section they rushed me into it with nobody being able to get there and be with me through my operation. It wasn't as bad as everybody said it was, no pain during or afterwards...I was sore though and it was hard to walk they would try to get me to walk, but I hated it I had never been weaker. It took about a week o fully walk well for me. And oh the reason I had my c-section was because I was dilating and going into labor, my son was breeched and there wasn't enough fluid.

You do know that weight estimates by ultra sound are not very accurate right? They can be off by a pound in either direction. I was told my baby would be born at around 8lbs. Wrong. She was an even 9lbs and born vaginally.
