Is this a weird pregnancy symptom?

I am 8 weeks pregnant and I've been having trouble sleeping, which I have read is normal, but last night I noticed if I slept on either side too long my hands went numb. Is that normal? Has anyone else had this problem? Is it something I should be worried about? My hands are fine, just I thought it was weird when I woke up from either side and they were numb,

Thanks.

My doctor told me carpal tunnel syndrome was a normal side effect of pregnancy, although I think it usually hits when the baby gets larger.I had awful numbness near the end of my first pregnancy. Also if you were just pinching a nerve by laying on your arm when on your side it could cause it. I'd go ahead and ask the doctor about it since you aren't too far along, but you'll be surprised all the crazy things pregnancy does to you!

  • I don't think you need to freak out or scream in fear about it, lol, but I DEFINITELY think you should go to your doctor with this.... I haven't personally had this, and I haven't heard of anyone else having it, either. It doesn't sound normal.. Visiting and/or calling your doctor would be the way to go I'd think.

Good luck!!! Hope all is well xx

Mine is the worst! I had KP ( you know, those little bumps on the returned of your hands) until eventually now I have been given pregnant yet basically on my hands....then at 29 weeks, it unfold throughout my physique and contained in the wintry climate it appears that evidently all crimson and blotchy. the sturdy information is my dermatologist says it ought to bypass away around the time I hit 30 (in 6 years) or no longer! yikes!!
