Why are many women so judgmental and nasty to other people, especially those who claim to be religious?

A woman has the right to stand at a bar and not get harassed. A woman has the right to chose who she wants to have a drink with and who she does not. Those women chose to buy the guy a beer - yes. I personally word have called management and complained. So what you are saying is that if a woman won't date you because she finds you unattractive you should be compensated? And I suppose a woman who wears a short skirt ought to be raped if she doesn't give it up to any man who wants a piece, huh? Firstly if I were to generalize I would ask why most of the worlds aggressive and sexual crimes are carried out by men, does that mean I would right in assuming all men, including you, are rapists? You should look up the term misogyny, and have a bit of respect for women, after all your mother is one.

To actually answer the question, though, I don't think it really has anything to do with religion so much as people in general being stuck up. These same people like to use religion to give them their precious moral high ground so they can feel like their self-righteousness is justified.

Often it comes down to the interpretation of the religion, and not the religion itself.

I'm not religious, but I don't think he should have made girls buy him beer in order for him to leave them alone. If a girl doesn't want a guy, he should leave her alone, not ask her to buy him things. On the other hand, if the women were actually being rude to him, such as by insulting him and calling him names, they shouldn't have done that either. A girl should be able to turn a guy down respectfully and politely.

Maybe it is because women are tired of having their bodies treated as objects to satisfy men's sexual lusts?

I don't know why people think it is okay to be mean to other people but you see it everywhere ... men are mean to women, women are mean to men and everyone is only interested in their own "personal fulfilment".

Religions that are based on works (that is ... if my good works out weigh my bad works I'll go to heaven, karma, etc) tend to lead to self-righteousness and to maintain an appearance of self-righteousness people (not just women) need to be judgmental and harsh.

men are WAY more shallow anyways. studies prove that and it's evolutionary. you would never approach a woman you found unattractive, would you? she HAS to be attractive.
