RANDOM MISFIRING Olds alero 2000?
Can anybody please tell me what is wrong with my car I have a 2000 olds alero that came back with the code random misfiring , I replace the plugs, wires , air filter, fuel filter, belt . and it did not help, the car sputters and back fires, and ususaly dies when you put it in gear. then you have to crank the engine several time before the car will start again , if you can get the car in gear and you keep patting the gas then it will sputter down the road that how i got it home please help?
because the good people at auto zone told me random misfiring means the car needs a tune up, so i replace the spark plugs, wires and air filter which is a tune up, I replace the fuel filter because it was time to, and I replace the belt because It broke while I was at AutoZone, does anybody have any thoughts on what could be wrong, money is extremly tight, it to the point do i pay my rent or fix my car, I am tring to figure out if the car is worth fixing.

Why did you do all that? Evidently, you do not have the tools to diagnose a misfire (causes of misfires = fuel, spark, or compression issues), so proceed to a shop for PROPER diagnosis and repairs.
