A water company charges $2.50 for each 100 cubic feet of water used. At this rate, how many cubic feet of water is used for every $1 charged?

    100 divided by 2.5 equals to 40.

    Answer is 40 cubic feet of water(I think)

    A water company charges $2.50 for water used = 100cubic feet

    A water company charges $1 for water used = 100/2.50 = 40cubic feet
