Regarding Political questions on Yahoo Answers. Agree or Disagree?

Do you agree or disagree with the statement:

Every question on Yahoo Answers' political section is a variation of a recurring theme. The posters don't care about the answers they get, but seek to stroke their own egos by finding others who follow their own scope of beliefs; while at the same time hoping to bait members of opposing beliefs into posting comments that will ultimately be down voted.

And no comments bout me stroking anything! It's a serious question/poll this.

    Generally I'd say you're correct

Sometimes there's someone genuinely trying to get an answer, but usually they're just ignored or ridiculed

It's sad that political debates have turned into name calling contests. It is no longer about intellect or even understand why you believe certain things, just at how clever you are when thinking of an insult

It's the same in most every Yahoo forum that leaves room for subjectivity and strong beliefs. For the most part I agree, but I have seen some genuine, well thought out questions here too.

Disagree. You cannot use that superlative when describing the characteristics of questions in the Politics category because they do differ, even if they don't differ often.

    Blunt Ugly Truth:

We designed the Mac specifically for people like you: Narrowly focused with strong guard rails on either side of the road in case you veer off course.

Linux is for freedom-lovers and Windows is a good inbetween.

No I do not and the reason why is you wrote ALL questions. Had you wrote 98% I'd have agreed. LOL

This statement would also apply for the religious section too.

    I agree with you.

What you've said is just a reflection of how low political discourse is in this country, and why we as a country never seem to get things done.

Agreed. For some reason I feel obligated to respond to the particularly untruthful posts, though.

Most users on here are from a trailer park in festus Missouri. All of them Re either Paul Grass, Andy g, one of paul grass' boyfriends, or just paul using a sock account (he has dozens)

Source(s): It's really obvious and sad
