Why the people give much importance to the words 'Beauty & Style?"?
Of course these two words, 'Beauty & Style' are necessary, the words 'Handsome' and 'Intelligent' have been forgotten. I feel that pure mind and innocence coupled with some of the above words should have been added though there are many other things as well.

I agree. There is so much more to life than how you look! Yet our contemporary world is so caught up in our appearances and how others perceive us.

This is the result of Cinema, glamour and fame. Ironically it has been perceived that these things could be achieved by having beauty and handsomeness rather than talent, style and action, rather than reality.
You can see mostly, the absence of intelligence where there is more importance for beauty, handsomeness, style and action are present. It is the norm of the life. By the way, everyone wants to be beautiful and handsome, at the cost of intelligence.
People admire imagination and action rather than talent and reality.

There is a place for everything, including the concepts of beauty and style.
Beauty can be the Hollywood transformation of an ordinary person to one of "glamor" and "dazzle." Soap ads encourage the natural look (though they have yet to produce a real picture of such in advertising) gained by keeping skin clean, exfoliated, smoothed with lotions, etc.
Style is how clothes are worn. There are many styles in the world, from the slinky little black dress to the baggy jeans worn on the hips on the precarious edge of falling. Each makes a statement. Some of them make unintentional statements. Some of them make very familiar, traditional statements.
What do you think of when you see a tuxedo? You might think "Wedding" or "President's Ball" or "dignitary" or "James Bond." When you see a dark suit, you think "lawyer," "executive," or "manager" or "dignitary." When you see an evening dress, you think "rich woman," "intimate date," or "Academy Awards Night."
Clothes have meaning. When certain styles are accepted as meaning certain things, then you have a tool to use: the clothes can say certain things for you. When you dress up in a suit, it says, "I mean business" without you having to say it. If you wore a polo shirt, you would have to explain yourself more.
The way you wear your hair does the same thing. Traditional men's cut? Conservative. "Spikey?" youth, rebellion, attempt to establish oneself. Long? In a guy, often a desire to show masculinity. In a girl, demureness, sophistication. Short hair is often playful. It depends on a lot of things, not the least of which is the person.
Of course there is more to a person than what he or she wears. But who would you be more likely to listen to? a clean-cut, conservatively-dressed person, or a casually-dressed person? In what situations? So style and beauty do play a role in our society. It talks for us.
