OUT OF CONTROL? Arizona School Demands Black & Latino Students’ Faces On Mural Be Changed To White?

Could one expect anything else from a state filled with old white people, who moved there to play golf. Not to mention gave us John McCain, who in turn gave us Palin.

A blatant racist move.

Is this bigotry all that different than the bigotry in Alabama that forced schools to change their names so no school had the name of a person who was ever a slave holder including George Washington and Thomas Jefferson.

Or the bigotry in the Chicago law that requires any company that wants to do business with the city to disclose and quit doing business with any other business that ever had any dealings with slavery?

Bigotry comes in many forms. This is just more blatant than others and against minorities so some believe it more outrageous.

1. How many black and latino students attend the school?

2. How many faces are black and latino in the mural?

3. Are they ALL black and latino in the mural?

It's crazy. We elect a black man into the highest office in the nation, and all of a sudden it's OK to be blatantly racist again. Of course, they start a sentence with "I'm not racist but...", then go on to make seriously racist comments. This is the country the Teabaggers want to go back to? They want to move backwards in time. This is really sick.

Apparently, to make the children depicted appear more realistic. Also, darker colors would make it more difficult to keep the school cool in the Arizona sun.

You making this up? Poor Brewer, whose father was killed by Nazis in California in 1955, has to endure the pain and insult of being thought off as a Nazi for any reason that comes along. I say she just put on a brown shirt and play along. She might learn to appreciate a Nazi status.

Hispanic students march through downtown for respect

"About 200 Hispanic teens are marching in Morgan Hill yelling "We want respect!" and "Si se puede!" in reaction to a controversy ignited when the Live Oak High School principal effectively sent four students home for wearing T-shirts with American flags on them during Cinco de Mayo.

"Six police cars and a Morgan Hill motorcycle officer have been cruising alongside the large group as it marches.

"The group - mostly high school students - walked out of school this morning after the story of four students who were sent home because they wore American flag T-shirts went viral on TV and online. Many wear red, white and green and two large Mexico flags can be seen at the front of the line.

"This morning, some students were seen wearing red, white and blue in support of the four students. Some teens spread the word on Facebook since Wednesday's incident encouraging Live Oak students to show their patriotism by wearing their colors.

"Live Oak officials were silent on the issue and asked that TV crews stay near the street in front of the school. So far, no further comment has been made since Assistant Principal Miguel Rodriguez and Principal Nick Boden told the students they must turn their T-shirts inside-out or face suspension. The parents of the students met them campus and took the four students as an unexcused absence."
