How do I change the desktop background of my Windows 7 Basic?
I got a new laptop, and the OS that comes with it is Windows 7 Basic.
I can't change the desktop wallpaper. Is there some way to do it? I tried the usual:
* Open Pic using a picture editor and chose "Use as wallpaper"
* Right Click on the desktop itself (no option to change wallpaper there)
* Right click a pic (no option to use it either)
* Any and almost all (I think) possible combination in between, short of changing OS.
Any help would be appreciated.
Sorry, my bad... It's Windows 7 Starter, not Basic. So, any help guys? Please? I'm sick of staring at that bluish screen...

You've got Windows 7 starter. NOT basic. Starter doesnt have that option.
EDIT: Look for a patch on the internet. There are a couple 3rd party apps that will fix you up. Dont remem what they were but do a search for windows 7 starter background enable or patch
