I dont have iLIFE. Please suggest me how can i make use of iphotos or imovies to make a video and then upload it to youtube. i have a slidshow of my pictures in iphotos and i have a music file playing when slideshow is going on. But i dont know how to proceed and finally upload to youtube.

the best audio formats for youtube are MP3 and AAC, the best video formats for youtube are H.264,MPEG-2 and MPEG-4

use video editing software corel video studio x2 or x3. You can add some cool effects and there is a option for directly upload to youtube...;)
