    Well you start by multiplying out the brackets so from (2x-1)4 + (x+2)3 = 2 you changed it into:

    8x - 4 + 3x + 6 = 2

    Now, you want to work out the value of 8x + 3x, so you do the inverse which is: 2 - 6 + 4 which is 0. So 11x = 0. 11/0 is 0, so the value of X = 0.

    Now go back and check that the value is correct using the original equation.

    (2x-1)/4 + (x+2)/3 = 2

    2*0 is 0, and -1*4 = -4. Therefore, you know the first bracket adds up to -4. Now the second bracket: 3*0 is 0 and 3*2 is 6, add them together and you get 6. Now, -4 + 6 is 2, so you know that your value of X is correct.

    Just refer to this method if you ever have any problems again =] Remember to best answer.

    First take the L.C.M.

    u will get

    ( 6x- 3 + 4x + 8 ) / 12= 2

    10x + 5 = 24

    10x = 19

    x = 1.9
