Question for adults taking an SSRI?
How do you get past the sexual side affects? My boyfriend and I are both on ssri's (I'm on citalopram and he's on symbyax) and it's straining our physical relationship. Any suggestions?

I take generic Wellbutrin SR (150 mg) in the morning and at lunch, and Lexapro (10 mg) with dinner, for depression and anxiety. I've been taking that for over two years, and it's working very well for me.
There are a lot of people that take Wellbutrin with their SSRI's, it helps to counteract some of the possible side effects - such as drowsiness, weight gain, and the sexual side effects. It really does make a difference!!

Wellbutrin is NOT an SSRI. It is classified as an NDRI - (Norepinephrine and Dopamine Reuptake Inhibitor). I just want to make sure we're as accurate as we can.

I'm currently taking Wellbutrin SR 150 mg for depression for the first time(2 weeks ago). One great thing about this medication is it gives you an incredible sex drive. This is a common side effect with this medication. I want off this drug due to the other crazy side effects I'm suffering. Wellbutrin is considered a SSRI.
