It's meant to be an alternative to Democratic & Republican hypocrisy, but if you look close enough you'll c that McCain/Palin are running it & any time 1 of these persons are running it, you know the organization is bogus or will be bogus if they don't disconnect their association w/ them. It isn't the fact that it's more Republican-leaning, it's the fact it's more Palin/McCain-leaning.

Tea Parties were meant to be represented by the people, for the people, & of the people. But it's been hijacked by the Republicans who r no more conservative than the Democrats.

There may be some differences among the Tea Parties such as the way they approach their method of protest, but they should all be basically the same.

If it is a political party (& it's not but a movement), it's not very powerful & it's not going to be major power w/in our lifetime. McCain/Palin will probably hijack it to fit it into their own agenda under the Blue Elephant banner. I would say it's just an organization who talks about politics but is not a major-playing political party.

The Tea Party movement has no central leadership but is composed of a loose affiliation of national and local groups that determine their own platforms and agendas. The Tea Party movement has been cited as an example of grassroots political activity, although it has also been cited as an example of astroturfing. The Tea Party's most noted national figures include Republican politicians such as Dick Armey and Sarah Palin. As of 2010, the Tea Party movement is not a national political party, but has endorsed Republican candidates. A Gallup poll shows almost 80% of Tea Partiers consider themselves to be Republicans

    >>>([They are a group of people, trying to get the politicians to quit wasting our tax dollars, and get America moving again and out of debt,

First thing to correct is the Liberal way of thinking, Government entitlements cradle to grave so they have to work at nothing to obtain housing, health care etc at the tax payers expense, adding to the debt we are passing on to our children.])<<<

U R VERY WRONG. How is saving the US from financial ruin and giving our standing in the WORLD a very needed makeover "the Liberal way of thinking". It was the previous 8 years that BUSH and the GOP was given to destroy the economy and fleece the country. Do u not recall that when Washington Mutual, the biggest Savings Bank in the country, was taken over by the Feds the evening of Thursday September 25th, it was done in style. Every thing was well planned and kept secret by the regulators and their accomplices. The Board of WaMu and its CEO were taken by complete surprise. The CEO was in mid-air from NYC back to Seattle, after a day of attempting to raise capital. The plan of how to manage the assets and the infrastructure taken over by Federal agents began to move immediately. The regulators showed they could indeed be in control, as they brought about the biggest bank failure in US history.

If the regulators had been doing their jobs as they were supposed to over the last 7 years, we would not have been in this mess. The Bush Administration deliberately chose to not implement Banking regulations. The picture below is from 2003. It shows the heads of all the Bank regulating agencies making a show of how they would not implement regulations and give the Banking industry a free hand.

James Gilleran, Head of the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS). OTS was directly responsible for regulating WaMu and as they made very very bad loans, which brought us to the events of the evening of September 25th 2008 and the biggest banking failure in American history (worth repeating).

Sounds like FEMA and Katrina replaying? Now you know how the Bush Administration brought this about. What will Republican voters, who voted this administration (which was completely incompetent when it comes to governing) in twice, do to ensure they do not inflict this massive economic hurricane again on the rest of us, in the future?

if indeed they are a political party..why now arise from the fire...the clinton adminstration proposed health care reform first, so their motive is pretty clear to some and blurred to others

No. Not until they as a party run a candidate for a general election.

No. They're just racist white supremacists who don't want to pay their fair share for living in the greatest country on Earth.
