Does American freedom include "freedom of movement"?

Should immigration laws be relaxed to allow people that freedom? Does a free market require a free flow of capital and labor? What would Adam Smith do?

Adam Smith didn't have terrorists hellbent on destroying the nation. That said, I do believe that our immigration policy is insufficient to satisfy demand on the part of people and employers alike. I would certainly favor a streamlined immigration program, as well as an expanded guest worker policy. Illegal immigration is only going to become more and more of a problem as long as it takes several years to enter the country legally to work or become a citizen.

i don't understand how human beings individually define 'freedom' or circulate directly to apply it to describe a great kind of extremely some issues, yet by utilising definition its purely the alternative of slavery. All individuals are loose in the sense that they are no longer enslaved. yet then back, we aren't completely loose to do as we want because of the fact there are regulations and the government does have the capacity to dictate how we live our lives to three degree (paying taxes is mandatory, no worrying the peace, and so on.). combating in a war would not guard the civilians from being enslaved, because of the fact the government is the only company which could hamper the rights of its electorate. i'm actually dumbfounded whilst human beings use this reasoning to describe why we are at war, because of the fact it fairly is illogical. the only rationalization why the be conscious 'Freedom' is used in the media is for grandeur and propaganda applications. in case you have been to ask somebody how our being over in the middle East replace into retaining freedom, do no longer anticipate a logical rationalization. If something, the war replace into meant to be for 'secure practices' against the 'terrorist'. Freedom has no longer something to do with taking duty for stupid judgements, the be conscious you're searching for is 'duty'. even although there is not any penalty for making stupid judgements, we as a all of us is now being held responsible economically, for our governments stupid judgements over the final 8 years. some thing of a poetic justice i assume for the richest u . s . in 2000 that controlled to squander its credit and robust standings in 8 years time, as a results of a manipulative media and stupid judgements.

No, the US government often refuses passports to their own citizens and refuses to allow them to travel to other countries.

Paul Robeson, a world famous actor (screen and stage), singer, songwriter and civil rights activist was refused his passport and could not even travel to Canada to perform.

The ban on travelling to Cuba and some other Socialist countries is still operative.

Fine invite them all to your house. We want our fricking borders secured yesterday! Real unemployment is 20%. They have the freedom to go home and fix the mess THEY made of their own country!

We have police checkpoints to catch drunk drivers and other lawbreakers so no we don't have unrestricted freedom of movement.

No it doesn't. All countries have their borders to protect their countries from enemies and invasion. Try moving freely from any country to another and see how far you get.
