My ribs hurt when I touch them?

So I do impact every Monday and Wednesday ( impact is like a fitness center for sports training and conditioning) and yesterday was the first day that it started. We did tests like jumping for blocks and hitting the volleyball. Also we did some sprints and warming up before it all started. When I woke up this morning my legs were sore and so were my arms which I get is supposed to be normal, but there's an area near my ribs more likely on one of my ribs that hurts whenever I touch it. It slightly hurts whenever I breathe but that's not so big of a deal. Anyways I'm not sure what happened to make it hurt so much whenever I touch it and I'm not sure what happened to the rib either. Could someone help? Btw I'm not pregnant so that couldn't be the cause of the pain

It might just be due to you being out of shape if your workouts just started. I used to get pains like that when I would go a long time without working out, the suddenly do a serious workout. Just give it a day or two and take deep breaths, you'll be fine! If it continues after a week, I suggest seeing a doctor.

There is pressure on the nerves going to them to make the sensations more sensitive than they would normally be. The pressure would happen in the back where the nerves leave the spine and tight back muscles are presssed into them and to get rid of the pain the back muscles have to be freed up to remove that pressure causing the sensitivity and here's how to do that release: Back: (do while sitting on a chair) Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder, fingers over the back and the palm in the front, and firmly pull down on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm as straight as possible. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, then release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side. For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.

It could be from if you are out of shape. It might also be that you bruised your rib. Or there might be another cause that wasn't from that
