A group of people who never do anything right and aren't responsible in anyway for what they do should never have power in the first place, much less more power.

The real question is how quickly can they be gotten out of the way.

You cannot be serious. The Federal Government already has the power to step in and take over but they don't have the know how to fix the problem.

yeah without a doubt, the federal government needs more power, look at how obama has done so far, he has been on top of it since day one, and sent a swat team down so they can handle any oil that gets out of hand, now there consulting experts on who's tail to kick because obama don't want to kick himself in the rear on tv, <he did accept all blame for the oil leak>. now what has the government done so far? nada, zip, it has been all BP and they have to wait for government approval before they can do anything.

Maybe if the Federal gov (Obama) would stop playing golf and get serious about the spill - you would not be asking this question.

They already have the power to clean it up (it's a matter of national security), they're just not using it.
