What's wrong with me?
I've noticed of late that more and more I find myself getting frustrated with the world around me. Usually I'm fine, with everything just rolling off my back, but of late I've noticed that I have a really short temper with things. I've actually found myself screaming out loud at the television, or even snapping at the dog for making a small sound. I don't sleep much anymore, and find that my mind is often racing when I do try to lie down. Usually I go to sleep by passing out, and that's it, I wake pretty quickly, and tend to be a light sleeper. Nights are filled with very vivid, and usually scary dreams, and I find myself in front of the computer once again. This started with the death of my father (I found him in the bed) and has kinda gone down hill since. What's wrong with me?
And yeah, I need to see a shrink, I know that. Just can't afford it.

I'd say it's obvious....stress/grief ...some anger thrown in...all common with someone close to us passing. As for finding him...sure it's hard...but well...happens to tons of folks.
Do you have any family members to vent to? I know when my parents passed....close together and suddenly...it was traumatic...I mean you go thru the initial stuff...but months later it's still there...and anger/impatience is part of it.
Short term I'd say start taking care of yourself...the basics. Find some exercise you can do, do you take vitamins? Bs are good for stress...so maybe a good B complex...and not everyone goes to a doctor..how about just a counselor? you can even call a hospice facility and ask what they have available for grief counseling...doesn't matter if you used their service or not..they know stuff..it's their job. I'd also call Catholic Charities in your town/city.....they have low cost or free counseling depending on your income. My siblings and I used to talk regularly about our underlying anger and feelings...I used to want to run down old ladies with my shopping cart when shopping...lol...so you never know what others are feeling...luckily time helps..and so does talking.
good luck
