Too heavy for ballet?
I am 5'5'' and 136 lbs.
Is this too big to be good at ballet?
I know i will never go professional (started too late)
but if i want to be in an ameteur company, or go on to other sorts of dance or musical theatre will i need to lose weight?

It's a good idea if you have a large percent body fat to loose some wight, but it's not going to prevent from ballet.

No of course not. You don't have to be a certain size to do ballet unless you want to be a professional then you would need to lose the weight but you would probably already be losing it.

No, you can definitely start ballet! You'd have to weigh like 300 lbs. to be bad at ballet!

no your fine the way you are!!! im 5'7 and weigh 160 and im a dancer. and i do ballet. so you can do it
