On a scale of 1-10, how weird is this?
My mom is 57 years old and in the 70s worked as a dancer of the, erm ... exotic variety. Yeah, I don't like to think about it either. But anyway, she attracted a lot of male attention and dated this one guy for a few weeks who turned out to be kind of a psycho. According to my mom, he called her CONSTANTLY, wanted her to give up stripping, and even drove a car through the window of the club where she worked. This was the last straw for her, but he visited and called my grandma for years after him and my mom broke up.
Wacko.
So, to the point, my mom was on Facebook recently and searched this guy up. Not only does he have a page, but he's got pictures of my mom on it! This guy isn't a photographer and he hasn't seen my mom in 35 YEARS.
"Welcome to my Facebook page. Here's a picture of a stripper I dated for a few weeks back in the 70s. I still stalk her mom sometimes."
Is it just weird to me because it's my mom or is this genuinely effed up?
Apparently my mom has a high tolerance for psychos. A lot of the guys she dated, her friends, and even her family members were ... high strung.
I had uncle who went to prison for shooting a guy in the face for calling his date a "wh***." She really was.
I guess when I was a baby, my babysitter took off with me for an entire weekend without telling my mom. My mom never called the cops because she "knew" the babysitter would bring me back. x_x

He obviously loved your mother and thought she was the one for him. Is it weird that you mom searched for him? Maybe she has regrets on "what might have been" had she stuck around.
But i think I will give this a 10 on the weirdness factor. Love makes you do crazy things.

No, that is definitely WEIRD. You should see about reporting those pictures he has up of your mom to a Facebook admin.
It's been 35 years and this guy can't let go of a women that he dated for only a few weeks? You should both take the proper precautions to protect yourselves from this psycho like switching anything you have public on the internet to private.
Sorry your mom ran into such a creep. :[

Honey, this is messed up no matter who it is, never mind that it's your mom! This dude is a psychotic stalker with an obsession for your mother, plain and simple. Your mother and grandmother should really, REALLY get a restraining order on him and take precautions. They should also consult the police because - pictures of your mom on facebook?
Yeah, definitely let the police know. The photos can remain as proof that he has some form of obsession going on, and the law should listen to your mother when she tells them the things he's done in the past, and that she is no longer associated with him, and has not been for the past 35 years. The cops could keep an eye on him if you let them know, and arrest him if he tries anything.
