    Yes.

    It is especially clear in the first verse: "...Till the white day is done." Then, as in both, he looks forward to the nighttime which is black/dark like him. Nothing is specified for that time, just peacefulness.

    That clearly shows his desire to be for the freedom offered by his own will represented by nighttime. I wouldn't necessarily have tossed out the word freedom if this weren't a choice type question, but OF the four choices, only freedom approximates the desire of the narrator.
