Univ of Toronto (Canada) OR Univ of Washington (Seattle,USA) for Undergraduate Study?
I am damn confused. I want to do Engineering (maybe Industrial Engineering).
Here are the facts.
Univ of Washington:
1. It is a Public Ivy
2. It is in USA. This means better job opportunities.
3. Ranked 16 overall by ARWU but in 80s world over in Engineering.
4. Ranked 42 in USA. This means it is not the best in USA.
Univ of Toronto:
1. Ranked 8 in Engineering world over. It's ranking is better than Washington in almost every field.
2. It is the BEST in Canada. U can say it to be the MIT of Canada whereas Washington ranks 42 in USA.
3. It is in Canada. So less job opportunities.
I see the facts and get confused.
Please help me to select one.

For what you want to study, I'd pick Toronto.
And for the record, just because Washington is ranked 42 in the US, doesn't mean you won't get a good education there.
So: if you apply to Toronto and get accepted, go for it. If you apply to both and Toronto turns you down, just go to Washington. It's not a bad school :)
Toronto's a cool city. I've been there a few times. It's full of different people (not just Canadians, phew! x] lol) about 50% of the population weren't born in Canada.
It's pretty much just a cute town. I like it. (But I hope you're not a Leafs fan! ew. lol.)
Seattle is just an amazing city. It's not as populated as Toronto, and it's a really laid back kind of city. I really love this place. I love the weather, the people, the places :) I just love it. lol.
Overall, they're both cool places, and the Universities are both great (I've been on both campuses, but I haven't actually gone to school at either xD).
Study-wise, if you get accepted into Toronto I'd go there.

If you have been accepted into the University of Toronto you will regret it for the rest of your life if you don't go. The school is amazing and has a great reputation, which is more important than you might think after you graduate, and that reputation does come down into America, people know Toronto is an amazing school here. And degree obtained in the developed world (So Canada, the US, Europe, and Oceania) is valid anywhere else in the developed world. So you can come right back to America, or even move oversees and you will have a degree from an amazing university with a very high ranking and find a job. I am not sure where you go the idea that you have to live where you went to school, but that is quite wrong. If I were you I would visit them both, or at least e mail some of the professors from each school.
Your facts are confusing, how on earth can you compare the best in Canada to 42 in the USA? Do you realize that they have far less universities than we do? You need to look at percentages in that, and that rank is made up of a whole lot of things that often do not matter to many students. Judge the school on the quality of the program, the faculty, the research that is coming out of the school, publications, and really look at what the alumni of those departments are doing, their story tells the story of the school.

Washington is really a large and all know town and is definitely worthwhile send a vacation or simply visit this city. with hotelbye you'll learn more. One of the icons of Washington and the entire America could be the famous White House, the state residence of the President of the United States. The house of every leader except George Washington, it was formerly developed by James Hoban in 1792, and following being burnt down by British forces in 1814 was rebuilt in 1818. While travels of the interior that include the East, Blue, Green, and Red Rooms; the Ballroom; and the State Dining Room must certanly be reserved well in advance, every tourist to Washington would want to see this well-known building, at the very least from the outside. Nearby to the White House would be the complex 1833 Greek Revival Treasury Building and the 1871 Executive Office Building, one of the very striking old government structures in Washington.
