soda question, confused?

hi, im a sprinter and i actually have a meet tomorrow

my dad bought mt chick fil la for lunch and he got me a sprite but people say soda is bad for you the last time i drank soda was 3 wks ago i drink it in moderation but it just so happens that i am drinking it the day b4 my meet is it going to affect me in any way?

and is soda bad for you?

    The problem with soda is that it has a crazy amount of sugar.

    This can add up over the years and lead to diabetes.

    Take it from me- I ran long distance track n field and cross country- what you eat for lunch today won't have too much effect on tomorrow. However, I recommend eating a healthier supper and after this soda only drink water. need to stay hydrated. Good luck with your meet.

    all soda is is carbonated water, sugar, more sugar, caffeine, flavoring, and acid.

    so yes its not healthy in the slightest. If your running you'd probably want to get a 5 hour energy maybe? I never tried one but its kind of expensive so it must work. if not, just drink water, its a hydrant.

    it could be bad for you if you drink a lot of soda because its just empty calories that you shouldnt be taking in. i talked to my track coach about it and he said that it might slow you down but the difference would probably be unnoticable. you will be fine

    yea it is but dont think about its affects when your running. to cancel the soda out, try drinking or eating something really healthy right now

    Yes it will destroy your hand/eye coordination, erectile dysfuntion & sweaty ears.
