Point to Point train tickets?

Hi,

After much planning, I have decided on the details to my European trip in Sept 2010. I will be leaving Paris after one week and travel to Dijon(Beaune) and onto Montreux Switzerland and onto Milan, Italy within a span of 5 days. There are three of us, one adult and 2 seniors. We need a TGV train from Paris to Beaune(we will stay here 2 days) then a TGV to Montreux from Beaune(another 2 days), then a train from Montreux to Milan. So three trips, three people. First class only. How do we get the best rates? So many sites out there. Also do we need to reserve seats? How long ahead of time? Is a pass cheaper? Thanks!!!

-My advice for the best rates: buy a three-day railpass in First Class. The savings will surprise you lol. -Try raileurope.com for booking rail passes and tickets.

-Yes, seat reservation on TGVs is mandatory in First and Second class

-reservations can be made on the day of travel; your particular trips will probably not sell out long ahead of time, so I wouldn't worry about it
