Okay to gift the same?

A few weeks back, I found a "lucky cat" figurine online, and it was two of them holding a heart between them. I thought it was so cute, so I purchased one for myself (and my finance!) Now I have a close friend of mine getting married soon, and I know that it'd be both a meaningful as well as memorable wedding gift for the two of them. Question is, can I give it to them knowing that I have an identical one in my home? Neither of them have seen it, so no one would know, but is too odd?

i wouldn't chance it, what if they come over sometime and while your in the kitchen getting coffee or whatever they see it, they'll be snickering for sure. i'm sure your friends aren't petty, but they really don't know what u feel, so they will just think u bought 1 got 1 free. Find something else.

I see nothing wrong in doing this.
