How much to charge for painting the trim on a house?
I am painting the trim on a 2 story house with approximately 18 windows, a railing and the trim all around the roof and the gutters. I was thinking $15 an hour or maybe a flat fee of $150. Anyone know what a professional would charge would be helpful too. Thanks

If you think you can do a good job in 10 hours - then go ahead and charge a flat fee. Do you intend to prep and paint the windows at the same time? Most contractors will prep all the surfaces/windows first and then paint. (Prep includes sanding or other means to remove old paint or surface damage, may include filling holes and cracks with wood putty or other surface equalizers, windows require masking to keep paint off glass) What you charge and what a "professional" may charge is moot - you are not a professional. I think 18 windows and two stories is a bit ambitious for a beginner. Have you done this before? - if not try to find a partner who can help you to do this and FINISH. Most amateurs get kicked off the project within 3 hours -
