What should I wear to a summer job interview?
The job is just for the summer and it is as a painter on a college campus.
I do not want to dress too formally, but do not want to look unprofessional. Would jeans and a collared shirt be good? Or, should it be Khaki's and a collared shirt with a tie? Any suggestions would be helpful.
1 AnswerOther - Careers & Employment1 decade agoPainful cramp while running in upper rib cage near sternum?
I was halfway into my 5 mile run and I had such a painful cramp on my side I had to stop running. I tried to push through it, but as I kept running the cramp got worse and worse and I started having trouble breathing. Is there anything I can do to avoid these types of cramps? BTW, I am used to having shoulder cramps and lower side cramps that do not bother me when I run, but when this one affected my breathing and I had to stop.

Not sure what other experience or achievements to list that are necessary. I have some volunteer experience and a few leadership roles. But, other than that just about 5 years of work experience in the auto industry and painting. Also, I am 21 years old.
2 AnswersMilitary1 decade agoBaseball game seating questions?
At At&T park in San Francisco, during a night game. Would it be better to sit in the upper deck on the 3rd base side or would you rather sit in the bleachers? I have never sat in either or these areas so if anyone has any experience please answer the question.
2 AnswersBaseball1 decade agoIn California is it legal to make a left hand turn into a driveway going across a double yellow line?
I was on a highway in California and the car in front of me stopped and put on its blinker as we were going 55 mph downhill. There was no break in the lines (gap between the lines for an entrance or exit) and I can't find anything on this anywhere. Obviously it would have been o.k. to make a right hand turn, because you wouldn't have to cross traffic, but this car just came to a complete stop in the middle of the highway and turned!!
5 AnswersSafety1 decade agoAre drum brakes supposed to get hot?
I just replaced my drums and after I drove around for an hour or so, I touched them on accident when I was cleaning my wheels and they were pretty hot. They were not smoking and they did not have that awful brake smell, just wondering if it is normal for brakes to get hot.
Maintenance & Repairs1 decade agoI need some encouragement and should I go for it?
The other day I went to a summer party and saw a girl I hadn't seen in 6 years, she immediately brought back awesome memories and I felt like I was 13 years old again, I still have a huge crush on her and I think I have had this crush on her for all of this time. The only problem is she lives on the other side of the United States, so I know if we do hit it off, she will have to eventually leave. I just want to know if it is worth it to do this even if it is just for the summer.
2 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoIs this still considered a true hole-in-one?
My buddy hit his tee shot in the water on a 167 yard par 3, so the rest of us teed off and he decided to hit another one. His second shot off the tee took one bounce on the green and went straight down into the hole for a par, since his first shot went in the water. The definition of a hole-in-one is that it is a "shot that is off the tee and goes into the hole", so my friends shot is a true hole-in-one, right?
13 AnswersGolf1 decade agoWhy does ESPN not have an ESPN Bay Area?
They have cities like ESPN Chicago, ESPN Los Angeles, ESPN Dallas, ESPN New York and ESPN Boston. Obviously this just further supports ESPN's bias for the East coast, but the bay area offers professional football (49ers and Raiders), baseball (A's and Giants), basketball (Warriors) and even hockey (Sharks). This just seems like a no-brainer to me because there are so many teams in such a small area.
2 AnswersOther - Sports1 decade agoHow much to charge for painting the trim on a house?
I am painting the trim on a 2 story house with approximately 18 windows, a railing and the trim all around the roof and the gutters. I was thinking $15 an hour or maybe a flat fee of $150. Anyone know what a professional would charge would be helpful too. Thanks

3 AnswersFamily1 decade agoI am graduating from college in 2 years, wanting to join the military a good idea?
The 3 branches I like the most are the Air Force, Coast Guard and Navy. It would be awesome to get into OCS with any of these 3, but is enlisting with a bachelors degree a smart thing to do? Or is there a way to enlist and then apply for OCS after a few years? I plan on eventually getting into law/law enforcement so which branch would be most beneficial?
Thanks for the help.
2 AnswersMilitary1 decade agoDoes anyone know how I can volunteer abroad in a Spanish speaking country?
I have always wanted to help build homes, paint, renovate, re-build, etc. homes or dwellings in a Spanish speaking country. Also, I want to use my Spanish speaking skills I have acquired over the past 7 years. I have looked into the Global Volunteer Network and it seems promising. But, I would like to know what else there is out there.
Thanks for your time!!!
