She can't do a thing. That's part of being a kid, you do things you don't want to do and deal with irritable parents. Your case wouldn't even make it to court, no lawyer would take it. Only actual mental abuse would qualify for anything and being scared that mommy might raise her voice is not mental abuse, neither is being forced to go to church. I'm a devout Satanist (and before you call me a devil worshiper, read up on actual Satanism) and I was brought to church until I was 15. Besides, you don't have the money to hire a lawyer or the slightest knowledge about law.

Okay i dont think you can sue your mom (i mean i dont think she can sue her mum) but the best thing to do is for YOU to tell your parents or whoever looks after you to have a talk with her mum, because kids shouldnt be abused like that. I know that it will be hard for her but it sounds like her mum needs help

At twelve she will not be able to sue her mother. If there is true mental abuse she can talk to a councilor and seek help from protective services.

Tell your friend to leave the home and get to a shelter home.
Sue? Where does the attorney money comes from for a 12 years old?
Get your head together, ok?
WORLD IS NOT WHAT IT SEEMS FOR 12 YEARS OLD.

Legally she cannot force the to attend church that is deprivation of liberty because they have freedom of religion. This is a violation of civil liberties. Also, because you are a minor you would most likely contact the police first and or child protective services. In the event on an emergency dial 911. Even at twelve you have civil liberties but only call the cops if there is physical, sexual or emotional abuse or another emergency.

She can't sue for anything.
If she's being abused she can report her mother to either a teacher at school who will notify social services, or call child protective services herself.

as a minor she can't
she should contact the local children's welfare office and talk with people there about her situation, the mental abuse she is being subjected to
abuse is not just physical

Umm... you're 12. It's part of being a kid. Don't like it? Move out in 6 years.
