Info on Colorado Springs Balloon Classic, please?
We're planning a trip to Colorado in September and plan to catch the Balloon Classic. We have never been to it. How is the parking situation if we stay a distance away or are there fairly nice places to stay within walking distance (preferable)?
Any other advice relating to this aspect of our trip is welcome.

You have to park on the streets surrounding the park...gotta go very early. You can also stay in or near downtown and walk about a mile or mile and a half. You have to go very early in the morning for the classic. There is a Ramada Inn on Pikes Peak Ave. just a few blocks away., or the Antlers, downtown ( fancier). See sites below for hotels and their distance from the park.
