Your opinion:Are these bands overrated or underrated?

Anthrax overrated and Slayer underrated... I'm going to have to ask you to step into my van and pee in a cup, I have to run some drug tests... "hurr durr, Anthrax isn't too heavy and they did a collab with a hip hop group so they suck"

Anthrax are actually musicians, Slayer are just shock rockers no different than Marilyn Manson, only difference is that the sheer heaviness of their music turns heads... therefore, Slayer=overrated, Anthrax=Underrated... but then again, that's just me defending one of my favorite thrash bands

AC/DC - Always overrated, only difference is that they weren't painful to listen to during the Scott years

Kiss - Overrated, other than God of Thunder they haven't contributed anything to rock music

Green Day - Tolerable college punk/rock... Dookie came around and they got a little well deserved exposure... started writing subpar pop rock albums and wearing eyeliner and they are easily the most overrated band of the 21st century.

Pantera - See Slayer comment... nothing special, just a bunch of angry musicians making louder than life music so they get attention... Seriously, songs like Primal Concrete Sledge are just crap, and Suicide Note pt. 2 was pretty much the first metalcore song, and I'll be damned if that's not the truth

Maiden - Overratedness pertains to bands whose limited skill isn't deserving of their fanbase... Iron Maiden are skilled in every aspect and therefore every fan, every record sale, and every sold-out concert is well deserved

Rammstein - this ones weird... they're underrated among metalheads, but overrated to everyone else... bunch of preps listen to Rammstein, yet not many metalheads will list them among their favorites

in my opinion , no band is "overrated" thats just a stupid word peopl (in this section) seem to use just because a band is popular and younger people like them..i think it's pathetic for e.g.: Green Day ..I have been a huge fan since i was 8 and i don't see how their overrated..just cause they have become big , ok so what their music has changed but take a look at any other band most likely the music is at least a bit different right? plus, Green Day are getting older (as people) their not, at the age of 36 still write songs about "coming clean" or being angry or about girls .

I think everyone should get off Green Day's case..of being "overrated" im 14 and not a "girl fan" or whatever you ant to call it..(i said that cause i know people think the young fans are all stupid and dont understand the lyrics.

I could say these bands are overrated. But when it come to Green Day, I have alternate thoughts.

39/smooth and Kerplunk are their underrated albums. These 2 albums should get more pride than their lame *** albums they release since American Idiot.

anthrax- I sort of disagree with you. They are under-rated, but they do not deserve to be in the big 4.

ac/dc- completely over-rated. sorry every song has the same drum beat. every song has an over-used 3 chord progression.

kiss- over-rated. Come on... I don't even consider Kiss a band anymore. they are just money hungry leeches that are trying to make a quick buck.

slayer- Under-rated, and they deserve whatever praise they get. no band has revolutionized and stuck with thrash as well as Slayer has.

Iron Maiden- under rated. Have you EVER seen Iron Maiden on tv or heard them on the radio? No? its because they get fans the old fashioned way and that is through live shows. they deserve all their praise.

pantera- I find them a bit on both sides. I find most of their "fans" somewhat fake... we all know when a musician dies, suddenly they get a slew of fans that claim to have always liked them *cough* Michael Jackson *cough*

rammstein- don't care much about them.

green day- I like a few songs, but very over rated band. not as great as everyone makes them out to be.

Antrax...never hugely popular but did some nice work..Im not a huge fan though--overrated

AC/DC...becoming mainstrain since the late 80s, Is that bad? Na. I like it when I can talk with people at football games in their 70s jamming to an AC/DC song not even knowing who the are--push

Kiss...I like em just really not talented musicians except Ace Frehley, great catch tunes--push

Slayer...not my fave by far but for most part they are underrated but at times overrated by their following. They are hella musicians though

GreenGay is soooooo freaking overrated. enough said!

Pantera...my sister use to party with them in the 80s when they were a hair metal band...sorta overrated but all in all good ban

Iron Maiden...so FREAKING Underrated it makes me sick! enough on that be4 I get pissed!

Rammstein..not much heard from them but seems to be overrated

Slayer - None (Reign In Blood is overrated)

Green Day - Overrated

Pantera - Overrated (I still like them, but it's annoying when people say that Dimebag is a god)

Rammstein - None

All over rated except for The Beatles. I base that on the fact that they set the platform for guitar based pop/rock music that followed ever since. The rest are very much over rated, even the ones I quite like are over rated. I quite like The Stone Roses but they are nowhere near as good as they are made out to be. Floyd are decent too but there are several other better progressive rock bands. The Clash were nowhere near as good as The Jam. Talking heads are bland in my opinion. Radiohead, I don't like really, but I can see that they were creative and unusual, but still, over rated. The Who are far better than Zeppelin. Smiths, Bunnymen, Verve Joy Division and New Order are extremely over rated. Nirvana had some interesting moments early on but are ultimately over rated. You can add Oasis to that list. I like them and all but they are completely over rated.

Anthrax- Underrated, but they are definitely not in the big 4 of thrash metal.

AC/DC- I'd say neither, they're regular

Kiss- Gene just wanted to be rich

Slayer- Impossible to explain how underrated

Green Day- They are very overrated

Pantera- I think they're in the same zone as AC/DC

Iron Maiden- They deserve their success

Anthrax: Definitely overrated.

AC/DC: Overrated slightly.

Kiss: Normal rated

Green Day: Underrated (I love Green Day!)

Pantera: Don't listen to them much, but I think underrated

Iron Maiden: Overrated by the extreme, I hate them lol

Rammstein: Overrated, but I do like their songs:)

Iron Maiden - Very, very, very, very, very under-rated. Too under-rated. We need several hundred TV's shows dedicated to Maiden. And some statues.

Rammistien - Over-rated. People say they are great because they speak German. Woo-hoo.
