How do I report a nasty email from another user?

If you want to block a person & this person has already sent you an email, then USE that email to go directly into their account profile page & select the Block User by clicking onto it. Just click onto the blue letters of their avatar name on the email & that will take you directly to their profile page!

The Block User feature should be located directly underneath their avatar NAME @ the top of the screen. You will see the red circle with a slash going through it. Click onto that & go for it!

Even if they have placed a block on your account, you can still get into their Profile Page to see what they allow & disallow to the public eye. It can often get messy.

I suggest you just try to ignore it. IF you possibly can find it in your heart to do so. I often have a few of those coming my way & I just keep on truckin!

Block & ignore.....If they create a new accout to contact you - then you just keep blocking each new person who contacts you.

You can take it to the suggestion board/forum & wage a complaint there. Don't be surprised if it gets you banned. Fair warning. It can be a zoo in there.

►►►EDIT: if you are getting the OOPS message, there's a good chance the account has already been suspended! Problem solved for now. They always come back to say hello when you least expect it!

Hi, yes as Stella and Handyman says report the user name.

I too have had my fill of trolls just recently being rude or making silly comments for no apparent reason.

What I've decided to do is report them when necessary and then ignore them, after all they are anonymous and if we take them to heart then they in effect have won.

It's a shame that these so called people try to spoil it for others but if we try to disregard their stupid inane remarks then we can rise above it.

I guess that will be 'Messenger' try going to help on top right,type 'messenger report form' and paste the abusive mail in box provided, Even if it's not the right place,you may get help.

As someone suggested Customer Care,try that first,or as well.

There is no reason you should have to put up with threats of any nature and hopefully,the culprit will get their complete yahoo account,including mail,withdrawn

If this unwanted customer has attached themselves as a contact of yours, you must block them.

hover your mouse pointer over the users id & move the pointer to the block user field.

I received a few nasty emails too. I forwarded them to:

Yahoo! Answers Team <y_answrs_team@yahoo.com>

I got a nice message from them saying they have taken care of the problem. I never heard from him again.

You can't block an individual, but you can set your Answers profile to not allow emails.

I have gotten them. One was so awful, someone threatened they would come to kill me, rape my mother and cut my dad's d*ck off, which would literally be impossible are neither of them are living. They are upsetting. I didn't know how to block them and searched my answers in vain because I didn't know which question they were referring to. I even stopped my Y/A access to e-mail for awhile, but finally decided that it was silly to be paranoid about it and turned it back on. I hope you find out how to do this, Mswnana, but don't be too worried about it. Good luck!

Just report them by their user name and don't feel bad people always send me nasty emails I don't report them I just laugh them off

Move on, I have gotten them and if someone wants to rant about something on this site more power to them.
