Am I fooling myself thinking a strawberry milkshake/smoothie is a healthy alternative?

I've stopped drinking soda and replaced it with water.

But sometimes I want to switch things up, and I've been making strawberry milkshake/smoothie (not sure what it falls under)

I blend strawberries, milk, ice cubes, and sugar

Am I fooling myself into thinking this is healthier than just drinking sugary juices or instant powder drinks. I don't add to much sugar, but I always just assumed since it had real strawberries that it was healthier. Then today I just realized it might not be...

Nearly anything is healthier than soda. At least with your concoction you are getting vitamins and maybe some fiber. However, the sugar is an empty carbohydrate which adds no value other than making your thighs bigger. Try mixing in more fruit to sweeten it up. Processed sugars and high fructose corn syrup are responsible for the "epidemic" of extra large Americans. The fact is that your drink depending on its size will already have a high carb content from the milk (8 oz = one piece of bread) and the strawberries (8-10 = one piece of bread). Half a meal or more in one drink. Unless you burn these calories by exercising this will make you larger despite being healthier.

Water is best source of hydration.

It is healthier than just soda, because it has calcium/protein (milk) and antioxidants (strawberries), but its still not really healthy.

My fave smoothie- 1 1/2 cups calcium- fortified OJ, 1 banana, 3 ice cubes, frozen strawberries, blackberries, and raspberries to taste.

Tastes sugary- and is- but its all fruit, so still pretty ok.

I usually drink water, calcium-fortified OJ, or green tea. Smoothies occassionally as part of breakfast or for dessert.

Any step eliminating soda is great. I despise carbonation, so I've never had a trouble with it, but I know from experience how addicting sugar or artificial sweeteners can be.

It really depends on how often the smoothie is made- once/day? Too much. Once/week? Good.

initiate a internet site/blog approximately your ideals and write down your recommendations. boost an area and set up your credentials according to what you do, not the letters at the back of your call (they help, yet at the instant are not required). Then sooner or later you could convey jointly your recommendations or initiate a e book according to a particular concept in Christianity and with your credentials, publishers will take you extra heavily and you will already have an aim marketplace. yet you genuinely might desire to have some thing to declare. basically having recommendations does not recommend human beings will decide to envision them. stable success!
