Though there may be limited instances where travel agents can access cheaper ticket inventories that are not otherwise available online, the rule of thumb is that a travel agent costs slightly more than buying tickets online, because the agent will charge his or her own booking fee that is generally not charged online when booking from the airline directly.

Sometimes, but only sometimes, the travel agency can get you a better deal than what you can find on the internet. Some people also like travel agencies because it saves them the time and effort in making travel arrangements. However, in most cases using the internet on your own will save you money because you won't have a travel agency stacking their fee on top of the ticket price.

Sometimes the travel agent can scout out a better deal than what is posted online. This doesn't always happen, though. If you ask me, booking online is a much more convenient way to get a ticket. Either way of booking will be about the same price, but if you're really searching for s deal find the best price online and then see what an agent can find you.

If you buy a ticket from an Agency they will not give you a ticket but a Itinerary receipt and when buying ticket directly to an Airline ticketing, they will give you the physical ticket.
