When Moses wrote Genesis (and yes, it was Moses) he wrote exactly what God told him to write. Genesis is factual and literal.

I, like many other Christians, don't believe God created the world in 7 days. Many of the storys in the old testament are clearly fiction and most rational Christians can see this. I believe much of the early bible was made by early civilisation trying to explain the world.

I still believe in God and I believe that Jesus is the son of God etc, but I am a scientist and believe in evolution. God created the world but not in 7 days.
