Well all they need to do is get in the ring with him. Toney will have an opportunity later this year to do just that with Couture and Toney was never known for his work ethic in the ring even in his prime and talking crap before hand. Unless he gets lucky with a punch I think he will find out just who really is one dimensional when he fights in MMA. Mercer is smart enough not to and talk is cheap for these two but I think Couture will be giving Toney a lesson before it is all over.

There are several reasons why neither of these two are boxing anymore and why they can not get a decent paycheck for doing so in boxing and why Toney is now going the route of being a freak show and doing MMA as a boxer. The only other freak show bigger is Canseco. Toney was at least a legitimate fighter at one time and not a baseball player but Couture is going to tie him up like a pretzel and I hope in the process dislocates that arm so that he can't open his car door with that hand for several months.

James Toney likes to talk alot of trash. It is best just to ignore anything that Toney says, because most of the time it is just plaid stupid. He is so punhc drunk he seems to have no idea what he is talking about.

I remember reading a quote that he said about Randy Couture that read something like "You take me down and I'll choke you out. Just Google me".

Punch drunk and delusional Toney. I am not sure he realizes that it is not boxing. Mercer understands that he needs to learn the ground and I tend to agree with Ray that a top level power punching boxer will have the ko power to stop a fight with one punch, but landing that punch when your only skill set is boxing will prove difficult. Toney will lose to Couture round 2 stoppage.
